Installation

Add the locator to your Online Store theme. No code needed.

1. Store locator page

A full map with search, filters and a results list. Usually its own page (e.g. "Find a store").

1

In Shopify admin go to Online Store → Themes and click Customize on your live theme.

2

Open the page you want the map on (create one under Online Store → Pages first if needed), then choose Add section in the left sidebar.

3

Switch to the Apps tab and pick Store locator from Store Locator & Stockists: CA.

4

Adjust the section settings (height, default view) and click Save.

2. "Where to buy" on product pages

A compact block that lists the nearest stores stocking the product being viewed. Requires product assignments (Products page or the inventory API).

1

In the theme editor, open a Product template from the page selector at the top.

2

In the product information section, choose Add block, open the Apps tab and pick Where to buy from Store Locator & Stockists: CA.

3

Drag it where you want it (usually under the buy buttons) and Save.

Linking to the map

The Store locator section reads two optional URL parameters, so you can link to a pre-filtered map from emails, product pages or ads:

  • ?product=<id> — only show stores stocking that product (numeric product id or GID). Example: /pages/find-a-store?product=8123456789
  • ?near=<place> — search a place on load. Example: /pages/find-a-store?near=Boston%2C+MA

They can be combined: ?product=8123456789&near=02139.

Theme editor

Opens your live theme with the Apps tab selected.

Styling

Colors, corner radius and map style come from the Theme section on the Settings page. Distance unit and default radius live there too.

Not seeing the app?

  • App blocks need an Online Store 2.0 theme (Dawn and every theme from the Theme Store since 2021).
  • Add sections and blocks to the theme that is currently published, or preview a draft theme.
  • Locations only appear on the map once they are active and geocoded.
